For one of my client based in Geneva, we are looking for a

EndPoint Engineer

The Endpoint Engineer post is a transversal position with an end-user vision. The purpose of this position is to support both platforms (end user and packaging/distribution) and it requires a transversal expertise. Technical testing, documentation, communication or coordination with the change manager and follow up on field deployments are the daily tasks. To manage these tasks we require a good knowledge of EMM/MDM, SCCM, Windows server, Windows 10, Exchange/Outlook, Microsoft Office and licenses.

We will expect from the post holder that s/he support L3 level for end user applications and manage field infrastructure as well as OSX clients at client infrastructure contact point.

 

Main responsibilities

  • Strategy and deployment plan, open change requests. Ensure consistency of the field environment through the maintenance
  • For standard applications "off the shelf" manage with packaging design and specification, planning, deployment, construction, UAT tests including technical test
  • For business applications, manage the receipt of deliverables packaging: coordination of technical test with L3 and the functional test with the business and communication with the field or information transfer to the change manager. Follow the deployment.
  • Propose modern management with WorkspaceOne
  • Follow the deployment in SCCM 2016 (Integration, modification, follow)
  • Plan the field deployments that impact the end-user’s workstations or require training of the workplace field teams
  • Manage the catalog software end-users, accessories and terminals (adding new services, managing the life cycle)
  • Identify and describe the hardware and software needed by the end-user
  • Assure the LAB quality
  • Coordinate and help the tests with L2 Support
  • Ensure the success of W10 projects
  • Knowledgeable and keen about future EUC technologies and/or methodologies
  • Responsible for the operational documentation in VSM / FINE DOC / SharePoint
  • Collaborate with Application Coordinator in Out of Catalog process
  • Knowledge and vision about Mac
  • Give Level 3 support for OSX at Infrastructure contact points
  • Follow project deployment and update the file
  • Support and analyze of L3 issues

Desired profile and experience

  • Engineer degree in ICT with 5 years minimum of professional experience
  • Knowledge of systems and technologies SCCM, WorkspaceOne EMM/MDM, MSI, Windows 8.1, 10, Windows Server, Hyper-V, Lotus Notes Domino, Exchange/Outlook, SQL 2008, OSX
  • Fluent in French and English, Spanish a plus
  • Outstanding communications skills with different audience
  • Able to coordinate between multi-ICT functional teams and end users
  • Reactive and speed of execution
  • Capacity to work under pressure
  • Service oriented
  • Ability to manage and follow-up projects autonomously
  • Ability to perform accurate and repetitive tasks
  • Reporting skills as well as good analysis and synthesis abilities
  • User Training Capacity
  • Skilled in writing and layouts (manuals, technical doc …)
  • At ease with teamwork. Cooperative.
